I rose like a phoenix
from the ashes
of a burning hot
sun rising in the east.
I have left you
like a lover
who never changed his frivolous behavior.
Since Taisho
Showa
Heisei
Reiwa.
Looking down on women
Looking down on the proletariat
Looking down on proletarian women
Looking down and looking away.
Eyes, mouth, ears closed.
But I‘m the real monkey here.

(I‘m sorry that I‘m no man)

And I traded hydrangea
with laburnum
and you let me go.
You really let me go.
After all these years.
I came with Rubedo,
with hope
Mt. Tsukuba in the north,
Mt. Fuji in the south.

I loved you.
I loved you dearly
like a mother loves her child.
Like the misguided men loved the emperor.
Like the sun loves the ocean.
A blood red kiss on my white lips.

And the hole in my card
is like the hole in my heart.
And we both know
I will never come back.
